Dear Stakeholders,
The Lake County School District and Astatula Elementary School are engaged in an ongoing continuous improvement process. All stakeholders are included in this process! We invite all parents, students and staff members to participate in an online survey now through May 13, 2013, as a part of this continuous improvement process. All survey responses are secure and confidential.
Surveys are a means to systematically engage all stakeholders in two‐way communication. The surveys provide district and school leaders and teachers a lens into the thinking and perceptions of stakeholders. Careful analysis of the results enriches understanding of areas of strength and effectiveness as well as those areas that possibly need improvement. The survey results will enable the district and school leaders to measure stakeholders’ attitudes and help target improvement strategies focused on student achievement as well as school and district effectiveness.
The Lake County School District was one of the first 200 districts in the nation to obtain district accreditation and is currently accredited through AdvancED, the worldwide accrediting agency for quality school systems and schools. The district recently participated in a required 5-year onsite review by AdvancED for renewal of the accreditation status. As you know, Astatula Elementary was selected for an on-site visit and the team was very impressed. However, one area of concern they did note, was the need for greater participation in stakeholder surveys. Participating in the annual stakeholder survey helps stakeholders understand the AdvancED Standards for Quality Systems and Schools and provides a means for the schools and district to learn what parents, students, and staff members expect in a high quality school system.
Your cooperation and support in completing the surveys provides valuable information and is greatly appreciated! Please go to our school website and complete the PARENT SURVEY 2013.
