A Lake County School Board decision to reinstate School District-provided transportation to some elementary school students within the 2-mile Parent Responsibility Zone (PRZ) will affect nine schools. To find out which 9 schools have been reinstated please click here.

A decision was made by the Lake County School Board at their meeting of June 24th to eliminate all courtesy busing of students within 2-miles of their home school because of continued shortfalls in revenue.   By law, the State of Florida provides transportation funding only for traditional education students that live 2 or more miles from the school. The Lake County School Board can no longer allocate the additional resources to transport students living within 2 miles of school.  All student eligibility related to District transportation contained on this web site is subject to change with the new Board decision.  Please check back in the future for updates to the address lookup and the associated Parent Responsibility Zone (PRZ) maps.
