National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the middle school affiliate of the National Honor Society. It is an organization dedicated to recognizing and supporting students who show outstanding academic achievement and citizenship through their good grades and good deeds in the community. This meeting is the beginning of a journey that will make a difference for you and the world around you.
This year NJHS has three faculty leaders. Mr. Arvesen is the advisor and will help run the meetings. Mrs. Forgie is in charge of our volunteer activities. And Mrs. Herrmann is in charge of fundraising.
This semester is a time for new applicants to demonstrate their commitment to the goals of NJHS. As you earn great grades and participate in our volunteer and fundraising activities, you will demonstrate your interest in joining NJHS. After the first semester report card, we will be holding an induction ceremony to welcome those of you whose commitment and dedication have exemplified the spirit of the National Junior Honor Society.
We are excited that you’re here. As you work this semester volunteering and raising funds to improve our community, remember that your work, courtesy, and punctuality impact the club. It is your excellence that makes NJHS special.
Below is a list of upcoming activities and events you should plan to attend.
We are looking forward to getting to know you and look forward to inducting this year’s new members in January.
