Welcome Juniors, Seniors and parents. These are critical years in the high school experience. During your junior year students should be researching careers and the education and training required for those careers. The junior year is also the last year a student can really improve their GPA's. Juniors should take the ACT and/or the SAT for college admissions and the Bright Futures Scholarships. The summer between the junior and senior year is a great time to visit colleges or vocational schools and find the one that is a good fit for you. During the senior year students should be applying for scholarships and to colleges. It is very important to apply online to universities in October and November, complete the Bright Futures Scholarship Application online in December, and the FAFSA (free application for student aid) online in January. Refer to the scholarship section for more information.
I am planning to post all scholarships on this website so keep checking it for updates. I highly recommend that you visit the FCATS.org website. It is full of information to help you plan during your years in high school. If you have any questions do not hesitate to stop by my office, e-mail, or call and I hope you have a great year!
