East Ridge Middle School Volunteer Opportunities Update May 6, 2013
Concession Stand help during ERMS Soccer Home Games –1 to 1 ½ hour (times vary by date) You will be setting up ½ hour before the games. PLEASE coordinate getting drinks and cash box with Theresa the day before the game Games starts 4:30 WED, 5:30 rest of weekdays.
May 7 Tuesday (5:00 to 7 PM)
May 8 Wednesday (4:00 to 6:00 PM)
Duties: You will be set up in a tent outside with drinks and snacks to sell out of coolers.

Year Book Sales 1- volunteers a day for each lunch
Tuesday, 5/7 from 11:25-2:00
Wednesday, 5/8 from 11:05-1:20
Thursday, 5/9 from 11:25-2:00
Friday, 5/10 from 11:25-2:00
Duties: During the 3 lunch periods you will take cash sales of the ERMS Year book. The sale will be logged and a receipt will be given to the student. All paperwork will be provided for you. You will be told whom to pick up and return the cash box and receipt book to each day.

FAME Dinner 2:00 PM to 8 PM, 2 PM to 5 PM set up for event, 5:30 PM to 8 PM: serve food Please do not volunteer as a server for this event if you have a child being honored.
May 23th ,Thursday 20 volunteers needed or more.
Duties. From 2 PM to when finished you will be decorating the cafeteria for this BIG EVENT! From 5:30 to 8 PM you will seat people at tables and then start serving food to tables. This is an event that is for all grades of students that have achieved high academic standards for the year. The school does get help of 5 Kohls volunteers for this event, which also qualifies the school for a $500 grant. As a server it would be appreciated if you wear a white shirt or blouse and black pants. High School students working on Bright Futures volunteer hours are welcome BUT need ERMS school approval before the event.

6th Grade Open House – May 30th 6 to 7:30 PM THANK YOU! I have enough volunteers.
8th Grade Celebration: 9 AM to 12 PM decorate, 12 PM to 4 Food
June 3rd, Monday
Duties Decorate gym for this celebration. Set up food and stay to CLEAN UP.

ER Room needs one volunteer for Thursday from 9:30 to 10 AM, this is a yearlong commitment.
Supplies Needed: We have been receiving supplies from “Back to School is Cool” however we still need more of the following:
3 inch binders used in good condition or new. Also could use 2”, 2 ½”
Woman’s sized XL to XXL CLEAN gently used or new clothes that are school dress code compatible.
SHOES Men’s. Sizes 9, 10, 11, Women’s sized 8,9,10 can be used in very good condition, no sandals please
Calculators any type solar operated the best 1 subject 70 sheet notebook- college ruled
Pencil pouch to go into a 3 ringed binder Enclosed pencil sharpeners
