Welcome, Parents!
Cypress Ridge is very fortunate to have so many dedicated parents who are supportive of our efforts and involved in the goings-on of our school. We all recognize that it takes a real team effort on the part of both teachers and parents to ensure a successful school career for each child. This page consolidates several pieces of information from our website in hopes of making it quicker and a little easier to access what you need.
Important information about volunteering is located through the links on the left. PTOLed by a hard-working group of parents, the PTO contributed funds to pay for various activities during the year. Our PTO was instrumental in establishing after-school clubs for our students three years ago. Membership is only $5 a person and can be paid at the August Open House or anytime during the school year. Our school PBS (Positive Behavior Support) team has implemented our ticket reward system. All teachers and staff will give out tickets periodically when they spot a child doing the right thing. Students will be responsible for their tickets in the classroom, and twice a month, will be able to spend their tickets, if they wish, or save for future purposes.
So WE NEED YOU very much this year, to support this new effort by volunteering to man the Reward Store from 10:45-1:30. We now have it open on Wednesdays during the 2nd and 4th weeks of each month. It would be best to have at least 2, but preferably 3 adults there at a time to assist students as they come out of the lunchroom to shop. Email schoenthalerv@lake.k12.fl.us or smitha1@lake.k12.fl.us to sign up for a day.
Many thanks to Dan and Crystal Pate for designing and donating "The Nest" banner that hangs on the store table! Thanks go also to Dianne Wilson for painting the banner that hangs on the wall! We appreciate your help!

These policies and procedures help us to keep all our students as safe as possible and they ensure that teachers can maximize their time with the children. Code of Student ConductIn your CRES folder you received at Meet the Teacher Night is a copy of the Code of Student Conduct 2012-13. The first 2 pages require your signatures and witnesses, like other forms. The children will view a Bus Safety video prior to their first field trip. Thank you for returning those during the first week of school. Student InsuranceChildren will be bringing home School Insurance Enrollment forms, which offers you the opportunity to purchase low-cost insurance for your child, especially if he/she is not covered under another plan.
