Dr. Charles Williams Jr. Ed.D. Assistant Principal II ![]() Dr. Williams was born and raised in Long Island, NY, where he played collegiate basketball and was a professional NYC musician. Dr. Williams holds a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Argosy University, Masters degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati, a Masters degree in Music theory and composition from Long Island University, and a Bachelors degree in Music from Stony Brook University. Dr. Williams relocated to Florida as a Band Director at Marathon MHS in 2002. In 2003, he began teaching mathematics at East Ridge High School, the largest high school in Lake County, where he worked for seven years. In 2010, he served as an Assistant Principal in charge of Administration at Avon Park HS, in Highlands County. In 2011, he served at Clermont Middle Schools as the Instructional Dean. In his leisure time Dr. Williams enjoys spending time with his wife Betsy, and daughters Elyn Marie and Emma Carly. Dr. Williams firmly believes in Clermont Middle School’s vision, "Excellence With Purpose."
