VPK RegistrationProcedures for School Year Program 2014-2015

1. Applications areavailable on the Lake County Schools’ website, in elementary schools thatprovide the VPK program, and public libraries. A hardcopy of the application is required and must be turned into yourzoned school no earlier than March 19,2014.  Please contact the schoolbelow for registration times. 
 
The State ofFlorida provides 540 hours for the school year VPK program.  Lake County Schools will offer this programeither 3 hours per day for 180 days (full school year) or a full school day forone semester (1/2 year or 90 days). Title I schools will provide full day, full year services for eligiblechildren.  The VPK Economic EligibilityApplication must be completedand attached to the LCS VPK application to determine Title I eligibility.   This economic eligibility application is notapplicable for non-Title I classes. 
 
Individualschools will determine class list from applications received.  Parents will be notified of placement theweek of April 7, 2014.

2.  Obtain a VPK Certificate ofEligibility.   See side bar for obtaining this certificate or click here.

3.  Submit the certificate of Eligibility tothe school district representative during a "roundup" or to theschool after the roundups.  You must submit the certificate by May 5,2014 in order to maintain your place on the class list.  You mayobtain a certificate and present it to the school after this date, only ifthere is space available.

5.  Attend mandatory orientation at yourchild's school.
