    Thank you all for your understanding as some Fair kids were not at school last week and/or the week before. I appreciate your working with them to complete make up work and get them caught up. We had an amazing year! I could not be more proud of these individuals! Following are the Tavares FFA Lake County Fair Results. If you have any questions about what any of this means, please let me know or ask one of the kids. If you see any of these hard working kids, please congratulate them on a job well done, as they all deserve it!!

     For Rabbits:

    Joey Meany: 3rd place ribbon

     For Goats:

    Joey Meany: placed 4th in showmanship, placed 4th in class

    Krista Wilson: placed 7th in class

    Jacob Shipley: placed 8th in class

     For Chickens:

    Xavier Castillo: 2nd place ribbon and 3rd place ribbon for his two chickens

    Jordenne Region: 2- 3rd place ribbons for her two chickens

    Zac Mitchell:

    Krista Wilson: Best in Show Large Fowl award

    Tiffani Turner: 2nd place ribbon for her chicken

    Nathan Smith: 2nd place ribbon for his chicken and 2nd place record book award

     For Steers:

    Kinsey Spears: 5th in class, competed in showmanship

    Jacob Shipley: 4th in class, competed for showmanship

    Krista Wilson: 2nd in class, top 4 for showmanship

    Brian Buckner: 4th in class, competed for showmanship

    Zeb Griffin: 4th in class, competed for showmanship

    Peter Tsirnikas: 3rd in class, competed for showmanship

    Cortney Hatcher: 4th in class, competed or showmanship

    Sarah Scott: 2nd in class

    Makenna Peebles: 2nd in class

    Also, the steer exhibitors as a group won the Charles E Norris Sportsman Award! This is an award presented to the FFA or 4H club that has exhibited the best sportsmanship and most helpfulness toward other kids throughout their days at fair. I am very proud of this group of kids for winning this award!

     For Pigs:

    Michael Crowe: 2nd in class, called back for showmanship

    Tiffani Turner: 1st in class

    Joey Meany: 4th in class, called back for showmanship

    Megan Vineyard: 2nd in class, called back for showmanship
