Who Can Enroll a Student

Only a legal parent/guardian may register a student for enrollment in Lake County Schools.  Step-parents or other relatives require a notarized statement signed by a legal parent/guardian or a court order. 

To enter VPK, a child must be 4 years old on or before September 1st AND have completed the VPK registration process (separate from the registration for enrollment process)

To enter Kindergarten, a child must be 5 years old on or before September 1st.

To enter First grade, a child must be 6 years old on or before September 1st and successfully completed Kindergarten.
