The Mascotte Police Department in partnership with Mascotte Charter School presents their 3rd annual Back 2 School Bash Backpack Giveaway. Children do not have to be enrolled at Mascotte Charter School to participate. The free family event is scheduled for 12 noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, at the school, 460 Midway Ave. in Mascotte. Backpacks will be distributed while supplies last. Peachy Enterprises presents Back to School Bash, Vol. 5, in partnership with community partners, from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, in the Mount Dora High School Cafeteria, 700 N. Highland Street. Families are invited out for an afternoon of fun activities. Local schools, community partners and vendors will be on site to provide helpful resources and information. Free backpacks filled with school supplies and personal hygiene items will be given away while supplies last.
